Phone settings
Turning aeroplane mode on or off
Your phone's signal may interfere with an aeroplane's flight systems. When
you are aboard an aeroplane, turn off your phone or switch it to aeroplane
mode. Aeroplane mode lets you safely use your phone to listen to music or
play games, but disables your phone's wireless features.
Use either of the following methods to turn
Airplane mode
on or off:

Press and hold the power button, and touch

When aeroplane mode is on, appears in the status bar.
Tone settings

and drag the sliders to set the volume of music, ringtones,
notification tones, alarms, calls, and more.

Silent mode
to turn silent mode on or off.

Select or clear the
Vibrate in silent mode
check box to set whether your
phone vibrates when it is in silent mode.
•
Select or clear the
Vibrate when ringing
check box to set whether your
phone vibrates when you have an incoming call.
•
Touch
Phone ringtone
to select a ringtone.
•
Touch
Notification tone
to set a notification tone.
