At least one host station address is required for running the
online test. Ask your system administrator for the station
addresses. Valid station addresses are 0 through
6.
Which
of
the tests you run depends on whether the adapter is
connected
to
the host. The procedure for the tests is the same, except
that you specify the station addresses when you run the online test and
the PC is connected to the host.
Warning: Before you connect the adapter to or disconnect the
adapter from the host, contact the system administrator for the host
system. Connecting the adapter to the host can disrupt other
workstations on the same line.
Display Station Addresses
Ask your system administrator for the number
of
station addresses that
you plan to use. The first station address must be for a display
station. The second station address can be for either a printer or
another display station.

To run the tests:
1.
Insert the backup copy
of
Support Diskette #2 in the
A:
drive and
power on your PC. The 5250 Emulation Adapter Tests screen,
similar to the one shown in Figure
6,
appears.
