VICTRIX Zeus operating sequence.
Heating phase Domestic hot water phase
Switching on
Main switch on Winter
Adjustment board and CR powering
(Remote Control)
Closing of the main switch contacts (Winter position) powers the
modulating control board, the CR (if installed) and enables the
central heating function
Pump and 3-way diverter valve powering
e modulating control board powers the circulator and electric
3-way diverter valve, the valve is moved into the C.h. position
Switching on
Main switch on Summer or Winter
D.h.w. request operation
e temperature of the external storage tank water is below the
set temperature
Pump pressure switch micro closing
e circulation of water in the primary circuit causes the no-water pressure switch micro contact to close
Ú
Fan power supply
e board energises the fan at ignition speed
Ú
Ú
Ignition control unit power supply
When the fan reaches the lowest safety speed, the modulating control board powers the ignition control unit
Ú
Gas valve coil power supply
With the consent of the fume thermostat and the overtemperature thermostat, the control unit energises the gas valve coils and sends the
soft ignition signal to the modulating control board
Ú
Burner ignition (soft ignition)
e board keeps the fan working at ignition speed
Flame detection
By means of the ionisation electrode, the control unit detects burner ignition and signals to the modulating control board that the
burner is ignited

operation request
Room thermostat or CR
(if installed) request if conditions are
found that require Central heating operation
Pump and 3-way diverter valve powering
e modulating control board powers the circulator and electric
3-way diverter valve, the valve is moved into the D.h.w. position
Ignition electrode power supply
e control unit energises the ignition electrodes

Ú
Boiler working
e burner operates at a power that varies depending on the type of request, on the adjustments/settings made and on the temperature
read by the NTC sensors
