4.6.2.3 Media Expansion Card (MEC) Slot
When not being used for PCI Express*, the x16 slots can be used for Serial Digital Video Out
(SDVO). SDVO cards provide for a third party vendor secondary graphics add-on such as a digital
panel interface.
The SDVO interface will also support a Media Expansion Card (MEC), which provide TV Capture
over the PCI Express* x1 port in addition to the standard SDVO card video out capabilities.
