Power Menu
To access this menu, select Power from the menu bar at the top of the screen.

The menu represented in Table 23 is for setting the power management features.
Table 23. Power Menu
Feature Options Description
APM No Options When selected, displays the APM submenu.
ACPI No Options When selected, displays the ACPI submenu.
After Power Failure Stays Off
Last State (default)
Power On
Specifies the mode of operation if an ac power loss
occurs.
Stays Off keeps the power off until the power button is
pressed.
Last State restores the previous power state before
power loss occurred.
Power On restores power to the computer.
Wake on LAN
(This feature is present
only when there is no
onboard LAN subsystem)
Stay Off (default)
Power-On
In APM soft-off mode only, determines how the
system responds to a LAN wake up event.
Wake on PME Stay Off (default)
Power-On
In APM soft-off mode only, determines how the
system responds to a PCI-PME wake up event.
Wake on Modem Ring Stay Off (default)
Power-On
In APM soft-off mode only, specifies how the
computer responds to a Modem Ring wake up event
on an installed modem.
