Chapter4 Load Functions

This chapter describes the AC load simulation function and DC load simulation

function in details. IT8600 electronic load supports the AC load function and DC

load function. The user can set system parameters to select the AC load

function or DC load function.

IT8600 electronic load has two working modes, i.e. AC and DC, and multiple

operating modes, i.e. CC, CR, CP, CV (DC).

The CF and PF of current can be set in the CC and CP mode under the AC

mode to truly simulate the actual current.

4.1 Load Function Introduction

IT8600 AC/DC electronic load supports the function of AC load and DC load.

The user can set system parameters and select the AC load function or DC load

function. Load functions are shown in the following figure.

4.2 AC Load Function

The AC load function can be simulated by IT8600 electronic load according to

the settings. The user can select the present load function in the system menu.

When “Mode Select” is set as AC, the electronic load is in the AC load mode.

The default mode of IT8600 electronic load is the AC load mode.

In the AC load mode, the load can work in the following steady-state operating

modes:

⚫ Constant current mode (CC);

⚫ Constant resistance mode (CR);

⚫ Constant power mode (CP).

4.2.1 CF and PF Setting

The operating modes of the AC load mode include the constant current mode,
