J-200
8.0 Spa Fill Up Procedure
For best results, read each step in its entirety before proceeding with that
step. Make sure all drains are closed before you begin, page 42.
1. Prepare the Spa For Filling
Clear all debris from the spa. Although the spa shell has been
polished at the factory, you may want to treat it with a specially
formulated spa cleaner. Consult your authorized Jacuzzi dealer for
additional information prior to lling spa.
If using the primary lter inlet to ll, remove lter cover, then remove
lter cartridge as outlined in Section 12.1 (page 40).
IMPORTANT: In most cases, lling the spa by placing the hose in
the footwell will not create an airlock. If you experience an airlock,
we recommend lling by placing the end of your garden hose into
the primary lter inlet, page 40.
2. Fill Spa
Place the end of your garden hose into the one of the following
primary lter inlets or footwell. Fill until water covers all jets but does
not touch the bottom of the lowest headrest.
!
WARNING: TO DECREASE RISK OF INFECTION OR
DISEASE. Fill hot tub with clean tap water from garden hose, to reduce
risk of contracting a waterborne
illness (e.g., an infection, bacteria or
virus) and/or respiratory ailments
. Fill until water covers all jets but does
not touch the bottom of the lowest headrest. (DO NOT OVERFILL!)
CAUTION: TO DECREASE BUILD UP ON COMPONENTS AND
MINIMIZE ACRYLIC DAMAGE. Never ll with water from a water
softener. If your water is extremely “hard,” it is preferable to ll half-
way with hard water and the rest of the way with softened water.
Water that is too soft can be corrosive to metal components.
3. Turn on Power (Priming Mode)
Turn on power to spa at the home’s circuit breaker to start the
priming of the pumps.
After power is applied, the control panel displays a sequence of
conguration settings.
Then it will display the following: “RUN, PMPS, PURG, AIR, -- -- -- --.”
This cycle will last about 4-5 minutes.
To begin the Priming Mode, press the Jets 1 button twice to activate
high speed. If you have a two-pump system, press the Jets 2 button
to turn the pump on.
After the cycle ends, the display briey shows the set temperature.
Then it displays or . After a minute, the actual water
temperature will be displayed. You can manually turn the pumps off
after the temperature is displayed.
Note: You can skip the Priming Mode by pressing either the Up or Down
button. This is not recommended.
