WARNING
• When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or
cause product damage.
• ALWAYS wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields during power tool maintenance or
when blowing dust. If maintenance area is dusty, also wear a dust mask.
• Disconnect tool from air supply before performing maintenance. Failure to do so could result in
serious personal injury.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
• Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
• Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage from
various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use.
WARNING
• DO NOT let brake uids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact
with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or destroy plastic, which could result in serious
personal injury.
LUBRICATION
• The tools cylinder, O-ring, and piston ring are lubricated with a sufcient amount of high grade
lubricant for the life of the unit under normal operating conditions. Therefore, no further lubrication is
required.
COLD WEATHER OPERATION
• For cold weather operation, near and below freezing, moisture in the air line may freeze and prevent
tool operation. Warm tool as much as possible before use to eliminate ice.
Note: Some commercial air line drying liquids are harmful to O-rings and seals. DO NOT use low
temperature air dryers without checking compatibility.
• To prevent premature tool failure, DO NOT store tools in temperatures below freezing.
AIR SUPPLY-PRESSURE AND VOLUME
• Air volume is as important as air pressure. Inadequate air volume supplied to the tool may be
caused by undersize ttings and hoses, or because of the effects of dirt and water in the system.
• Restricted air ow will prevent the tool from receiving an adequate volume of air, even if pressure
reading is high, resulting in slow operation or reduced driving power. Before evaluating tool
problems for these symptoms, trace air supply from tool to supply source. Check for restrictive
connectors, low points containing water, or anything else that would prevent full volume ow of air to
the tool.
