The engine warning lamp lights
up/flashes
Defect in the fuel injection system – Read out the fault memory using the KTM diag-
nostics tool.
The ABS warning lamp lights up The ABS fuse is blown – Change the fuses in the fuse box. ( p. 147)
Large difference in wheel speeds of the
front and rear wheels
– Stop the vehicle, switch off the ignition, and
start it again.
Malfunction in ABS – Read out the fault memory using the KTM diag-
nostics tool.
High oil consumption The engine oil level is too high – Check the engine oil level. ( p. 165)
The engine oil is too thin (low viscos-
ity)
– Change the engine oil and oil filter and clean the
oil screens. ( p. 166)
The battery is discharged The hazard warning flasher is switched
on
– Switch off the hazard warning flasher.
– Recharge the battery. ( p. 140)
The battery is not being charged by the
alternator
– Check the charging voltage.
