Remove protective ring


– Remove the lower triple clamp with the steering stem.
– Take out the upper steering head bearing.
11.10 Installing the lower triple clamp

Main work
– Clean the bearing and sealing elements, check for damage, and grease.
High viscosity grease ( p. 95)
– Insert the lower triple clamp with the steering stem. Mount upper steering head
bearing


Check whether upper steering head seal

is correctly positioned.

Push on protective ring


– Position the upper triple clamp with the handlebar.

Mount nut

, but do not tighten it yet.

– Position the fork legs.
Bleeder screws

are positioned toward the front.
Info
The second milled groove in the fork leg must be flush with the upper
edge of the upper triple clamp.

Tighten screws


Guideline
Screw, bottom triple clamp M8 15 Nm
