6. Adjusting the brake pedal
WARNING
To avoid serious injury or death:
Stop the engine, remove the key, lower the
implement to the ground, and chock the wheels
before checking the brake pedal.
Even if free travel of the brake pedal is within
the limitation, adjust the brake pedal.
If you are not able to adjust, consult your local
KUBOTA Dealer.
1. Release the parking brake.
2. Loosen the lock nut and turn the turnbuckle to
adjust the rod length so that free travel of the brake
pedal is the length shown in the following table.
Free travel of the brake pedal 10 mm
3. Extend the turnbuckle 1 additional turn.
4. Re-tighten the lock nut.
5. Depress the brake pedal several times and make
sure that free travel of the brake pedal is the length
shown in the following table.
Free travel of the brake pedal
25 mm to 35 mm
(1) Lock nut
(2) Turnbuckle
(A) Free travel
7. Adjusting the emergency hand
brake
WARNING
To avoid serious injury or death:
Stop the engine, remove the key, lower the
implement to the ground, and chock the wheels
before checking the brake pedal.
Even if free travel of the brake pedal is within
the limitation, adjust the brake pedal.
If you are not able to adjust, consult your local
KUBOTA Dealer.
Proper free travel of emergency
hand brake lever
0 mm to 10 mm at the top of
emergency hand brake lever
1. Release the parking brake.
2. Check if the free travel at the top of the emergency-
hand-brake-lever is proper.
If the free travel of the emergency-hand-brake-lever
is not proper, adjust as follows.
a. Loosen the nut (2) and tighten the nut (3) of the
hand-brake-lever-cable so that the free travel of
the emergency-hand-brake-lever is 0 mm.
b. Retighten the nut (2).
3. Make sure that the free travel at the top of the
emergency-hand-brake-lever is proper.
(1) Emergency hand brake lever
(2) nut
(3) nut
(4) Hand brake lever cable
(A) Free travel
SERVICE EVERY 200 HOURS
1. Replacing the engine oil filter
WARNING
To avoid serious injury or death:
Be sure to stop the engine before replacing the
oil filter cartridge.
Oil can be hot and can burn. Allow the engine to
cool down sufficiently.
SERVICE EVERY 100 HOURS  PERIODIC SERVICE
