17.7.2 Replacing the batteries
Fire and burn hazard if battery terminal is
short-circuited!
• Never touch the positive and negative battery terminals
sim ultaneously with metal par ts (short-circuiting).
Opening the battery
case
Remove the battery

described in chapter 13.
Remove all six bolts (1) on the bottom
of the battery case.
Put the battery case down on its bottom
side and open it.
Loosening the battery

1. First remove the cable from the battery
negative terminal (-).
2. Then remove the cable from the
battery positive terminal (+).
Connecting the battery
cable
In
sert the battery and connect the battery
cables in reverse order:
1. First connect the cable to the battery
positive terminal (+).
2. Then connect the cable to the battery
negative terminal (-) .
Close the battery case, screw in all the
bolts and tighten.
