5. Remove the Wi-Fi card.
6. Perform the removal procedure in reverse to reinstall a new FRU.
Front fans
Prerequisite
Before you start, read Chapter 1 “Important safety information” on page 1 and print the following
instructions.
Before you open the computer cover, turn off the computer and wait several minutes until the computer is
cool.
Replacement procedure
1. Remove the power cord. See “Power cord” on page 66.
2. Remove the left side cover and right side cover. See “Left side cover and right side cover” on page 66.
3. Remove the front bezel. See “Front bezel” on page 67.
4. Remove the wire cover. See “Wire cover (for selected models)” on page 68.
5. Remove the fan power cables from the system board.
6. Remove the screws from the front of the computer case.
