1.TurnonthecomputerafteryouhaveinstalledtherequirednumberofSATAorSASharddiskdrives.
2.PressCtrl+MwhenpromptedtoentertheMarvellBIOSSetuptocongureSATA/SASRAID.
ConguringtheMarvellBIOSSetuptoenableSATA/SASRAID0,1,or5
functionality
ThissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtoenableSATA/SASRAIDfunctionality.
ToenableSATA/SASRAIDfunctionality,usetheMarvellBIOSSetupcongurationutilityastheSATA/SAS
congurationutility.Thisutilityassumesthatthesystemhastherequirednumberofharddiskdrivesinstalled.
1.TurnonyourcomputerandpressCtrl+MwhenpromptedtoentertheMarvellBIOSSetup.
2.OntheMarvellBIOSSetupscreen,usethearrowkeystoselectRAIDandpressEnter.TheRAID
Congmenuopens.
3.FromtheRAIDCongmenu,selectCreatearray.
4.UsethearrowkeysandtheEnterkeytoselecteachfreeharddiskdrivethatyouwanttoinclude
inthearray.
5.SelectNextandpressEnter.
6.FromtheCreatearraymenu,selectRAIDlevelandpressEnter.
Note:OnlythevalidRAIDlevelswillbeactive.
7.SelectyourdesiredRAIDlevel(RAID0,RAID1,orRAID5)andpressEnter.
8.FromtheStripeSizemenu,youcanchangethestripesizeorkeepitasdefault.
9.TypeaproperarraynameintheArrayNameeld.
10.SelectNextandpressEnter.
11.Whenprompted,pressYtocompletethearraycreationandRAIDconguration.
