Cause
If the motor assembly is missing the 2mm thick washer on the w-
shaft of the bearing housing, then the gear shaft will make contact
with the rotor. When the unit spins, it will make a noticeable noise.

Repair Instructions
1. Check for the washer
2. Install if necessary and Check
1) If there isn’t a washer there, or if there is visible damage on the washer,
install a new washer and reassemble the rotor.
2) Run a test cycle with a large load and listen for any unusual noise.
If the noise persists it may be necessary to replace the Clutch Coupling Assembly.
1) Remove the rotor nut and
pull the rotor off of the w-shaft.
2) Check to see if there is a washer
on the shaft.
