Harmony Application Not Recognized
If the Harmony Link is not recognizing the Harmony Link application, and is not responding to the
commands when executed, the Harmony Link can be reset. Complete the following steps to reset the
Harmony Link:
1. Ensure the mobile device and the Harmony Link are connected to the WiFi network.
2. Navigate to the Settings page on the MyHarmony.com account, and then click Reset Your Harmony
Link.
3. Plug the Harmony Link in to a power supply using the supplied AC adaptor, and connect it to the
computer using the supplied USB cable.
Once the Harmony Link is connected to the computer, firmware begins updating if the firmware is not
the most current version. This process takes several minutes. The Harmony Link should not be
disconnected or unplugged during the update.
4. If the firmware cannot be loaded, a manual reset is necessary. This can be done by pressing and
holding the red button on the bottom of the device until the status light flashes red.
5. Enter the wireless information and sync the Harmony Link application to the MyHarmony.com
account.
Safe Mode
Hardware
Sometimes the Harmony Link is not recognized by the computer when connected using the USB. Placing
the Harmony Link in safe mode helps the computer detect the device.
Software
The computer may detect the device but may not pass the connectivity check. Placing the Harmony Link
in safe mode may help the software pass the check.
