1. Safety Guidelines
1
• Never ramin in the engine compartment, while
the engine is still operating.
• Avoid flammable material accumulation, such
as straw, oil etc., on the harvester, specially near
to the engine;
• Don’t let anyone operate the equipment without
prior operation instructions;
• Before starting the equipment, make sure the
electromagnetic clutch switch is off.
Also, adopt as a usual practice, to honk twice
before starting the engine.
• Never operate a misadjusted or damaged
equipment. This will impair the work
performance and cause severe accidents.
• Don’t let anyone climb on the harvester when
driving it or operating it.
• Make sure that all safety protections and
inspection covers are properly installed, as
specified, when operating the equipment.
• Always make sure there is no one near the
equipment, when you crrank the engine and
start moving forward.
• Do not stand on the harvester when driving it
at a high speed.
• Do not allow oil and grease to accumulate in
the operator’s platform, ladders and controls.
Clean it immediately.
• Do not allow non trained people or chidren
to.climb on the machine. These people may
inadvertently move the machine without any
control, which can lead to accidents and non
predictable consequences
6.2 - In road traffic
Driving the equipment on roads, is not a practice
recommended by AGCO do Brasil. Ideally, use a
truck to transport the equipment.
Although, when it is unavoidable, drive it according
to the following rules:
1 - Only allow people with driving license and
familiarized with the equipment to drive it;
Due to its over-width, disengage the platform from
the machine and transport it through a proper
mean, e.g. an specific trailer to be towed by
the harvester.
3 - Always both brake pedals, by using the union
lock. By applyign the brake of a single wheel,
may cause the equipment to lose control, which
can cause serious accidents.
4 - Always drive the machine on the correct side
of the road.
5 - Keep a speed compatible with your safety;
6 - Always keeps in operational condition all
brakes, turning lights, direction signal lights
and hazard warning lights (if equipped);
7 - Keep the lights on, even during day time. When
driving at night, you nedd to pay double the
attention:
- Always use low beam when crossing oncoming
vehicles.
- The reflective triangle must be used on the rear
side on the machine.
- If you are towing a special trailer for platform
transportation, it must be equipped with
auxiliary lighting, tail lights, signal turner and a
reflecting triangle sign on the rear.
