Important!
Prior to operating the vehicle, the driv
er should adjust the seat height for
proper vision as well as fore/aft place
ment and seat back angle to insure
adequate control, reach, operation,
and comfort. The head restraint
should also be adjusted for proper
height.
Both the inside and outside rear view
mirrors should then be adjusted for
adequate rearward vision. Fasten seat
belts. Infants and small children
should be seated in a properly se
cured restraint system that complies
with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety
Standard 213.
All seat, head restraint, and rear view
mirror adjustments as well as fasten
ing of seat belts should be done be
fore the vehicle is put into motion.
Orthopedic Seat Backrest
Some models may be equipped with
orthopedic seats. These seats have
an inflatable air cushion built into the
backrest to provide additional lum
bar support. The amount of cushion
height and curvature may be adjusted
after turning the key to steering lock
position 1 or 2.
The inflation pressure of the air cush
ion can be continuously varied be
tween position 0 = without pressure,
and position 4= maximum pres
sure, by changing the pressure regula
tor (1) setting.
In addition, the cushion height may be
changed to five different settings be
tween position A = lowest setting,
and E” = highest setting, by varying
the height regulator (2) adjustment.
If a driving trip is tempararily interrupt
ed, the last cushion setting is retained
in memory, and automatically adjusts
the cushion to this setting when the
trip is continued.
