Situation Remedy
Boat turns when it should go straight to the
side and the capacity light is lit (Usually after
extended use)
The motors are hot or the batteries are discharged. Temporarily stop using
Total Command and let the motors cool and the batteries recharge.
Capacity Light is On
Situation Remedy
Capacity indicator light starts flashing
The motors are becoming hot or the batteries are becoming discharged. The
joystick may soon become disabled. Temporarily stop using Total Command
and let the motors cool and the batteries recharge.
The capacity light is lit (Usually after
extended use)
The motors are hot enough to be damaged with further use, or the batteries
are discharged below proper operating voltage and will not function properly.
Temporarily stop using Total Command and let the motors cool and the
batteries recharge.
Fault Light is On
Situation Remedy
The fault indicator light is on Turn off the keyswitches, and then turn them back on.
The fault indicator light stays on after key
off‑key on procedure
Have the system checked by an authorized Mercury MerCruiser or Cummins
MerCruiser dealer or distributor.
