STARTING&DRIVING
Firmapplicationofthebrakepedalwhen
stoppingisrequiredbyHHCtogenerate
sufcientbrakepressuretomaintainhold.
HillHoldControlisacomfortfunction.Itworkson
inclineswhenthecardetectsithascometoa‘standstill
status’.Itassiststhedriverby'holding'thevehicleduring
hillstarts.
ThefollowingconditionsmustbefullledtoactivateHHC:
•Thedriver'sdoorisclosedandthedriverseatbeltis
fastened.
•Thevehicleisstoppedonaslopeinexcessof4%.
•SCSisactiveandfaultfree.
•EPBisreleasedandfaultfree.
•InDorRgear .
•PowersystemisREAD Y/RUNNING.
•Sufcientbrakepedalapplicationforcehasbeenapplied.
AslongasDorRisselectedandthebrakepedalreleased,
thevehiclewillmaintainpressureinthebrakingsystemfor
1~2seconds.Afterthis,theHillHoldwillrelease.
Ifthedriverreleasesthebrakepedalonahill,HHCwill
maintainbrakepressurefor1~2seconds,afterthisperiod
thevehiclemayrollbackwards.
Note:HHCisavailableinbothforwardandbackward
directionswhenpullingawayonuphillslopes.
Note:If"HillHoldUnavailable"isdisplayedinthe
informationmessagecentreitindicatesthatthe
systemhasdetectedafaultoranothersystemmaybe
preventingcorrectoperation.PleasecontactanMG
AuthorisedRepairerassoonaspossible.
