TheHDCsystemisonlyanauxiliary
function.Ithaslimitationswhensubjectto
adverseconditionssuchaswetoricysurfaces
andsteepslopes.TheHDCsystemcannot
overcomethelawsofphysics,alwaysensure
thatthevehicleisdrivendownsteepslopes
atlowspeeds.
EvenwhentheHDCsystemisswitchedon,
thedrivermustalwayspaycloseattention
tothedrivingstateofthevehicle,andtake
activecontrolwhennecessary.Incertain
cases,HDCmaybesuspendedorswitched
offtemporarily.
Duringsomedrivingconditionsondownhill
surfaces(e.g.drivingdownaslopewith
highspeed,theslopeislessthan10%,etc.),
HDCisinoperative,thedrivermustmaintain
controlofthevehicleatalltimesanduse
brakeapplicationstoensuresafety.
TheHDCsystemisanauxiliaryfunctionspeciallydesigned
fordrivingonacutedownhillgradients.Thesystem
reducesthespeedbyapplyingbrakeforce,thusassisting
thedrivertodriveonacutedownhillsurfaceswithlow
speeds.
PleaseDONOTusethisfunctionwhendrivingonthe
ordinaryroads.
WhentheHDCisworking,thebrakesystemmayemita
strongvibrationornoise.Itisnormalduringtheoperation
ofHDC.
Note:Duringtheoperationofhilldescentcontrol
(HDC)system,pleasedonotswitchtheshiftleverto
"N"position.SuchoperationmaydeactivatetheHDC
function.
