Multi-Collision Brake System
(MCB)
The MCB function will automatically apply
the brake to reduce the vehicle speed and
improve the vehicle stability after a collision.
It is designed to reduce the risk of re-collision
caused by the uncontrolled movement of the
vehicle after a collision.
The MCB will be activated when the following
conditions are all met at the same time:
• In case of vehicle collision, the seat belts
or airbags are deployed.
• The vehicle speed is less than 60 km/h.
• The steering wheel has not been turned
in excess of 180°.
• SCS is fault free.
The MCB function will not trigger if the
driver strongly applies the accelerator pedal
after a collision. The vehicle will exit the
braking state if the driver strongly applies the
accelerator pedal after the MCB function is
triggered.
Note: The MCB function cannot
guarantee the deceleration of the vehicle
in all cases of collision because the
collisionprocessmayleadtomalfunction
orfailureofsomeparts,thusaffectingthe
normaloperationofthefunction.
