With the help of the following notes, minor faults in the performance of the
machine, some of which may result from incorrect operation, can be put right
without contacting Miele. A call-out charge will be applied for unnecessary service
visits where the problem could have been rectified as described in these
Operating instructions. Please note:

Repair work to electrical appliances must only be carried out by a suitably
qualified and competent person in strict accordance with current local and
national safety regulations. Repairs and other work by unqualified persons
could be dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for unauthorised
work.
Check and fault messages
Problem Possible cause Remedy
0-§ lights up and the
Gentle tumble indicator
light is flashing.
The system lock is
activated.
If you wish to use the
tumble dryer, the system
lock needs to be
deactivated (see
"Electronic system lock").
0 and Finish light up
and the programme is
cancelled.
The buzzer sounds. *
This is not a fault.
In some programmes, if
the drum has been
underloaded or there is
no laundry in the drum,
the programme will be
cancelled. This can also
happen if the items are
already dry.
Use the Warm air
programme to dry
individual items.
The Empty the container
indicator light comes on
and the programme has
been cancelled.
The buzzer sounds. *
The condensed water
container is full or there is
a kink in the drain hose.

Empty the condensed
water container.

Check the drain hose.
* Switch off the indicator light: Open and close the door (while the tumble
dryer is switched on).
