Connection to the water supply
IMPORTANT Australia and New
Zealand
This appliance must be installed
according to AS/NZS 3500.1. Backflow
prevention is already integrated in the
appliance.
The safety valves contain
electrical components. They must
not be connected in areas where
there is the risk of water or other
liquids reaching them, e.g
bathrooms.
The safety valves must not get wet.
The protective sleeve of the hose
must not be damaged or kinked.
The washing machine should be
connected to a mains water supply in
accordance with current local and
national safety regulations.
The machine is designed to operate
with a flow pressure of between 100
and 1000 kPa. If it is higher than 1000
kPa, it is essential to fit a reducer valve.
Connection to the water supply should
incorporate taps with a
3
/
4
" threaded
union. The taps should be fitted by a
qualified plumber.
The connection points are
subject to mains water pressure.
Turn on the taps slowly and check
for leaks. Correct the position of the
washer and the union if appropriate.
Maintenance and care
Only use a Miele Waterproof system
hose should you need a replacement.
The union nut on the casing at the
end of the water inlet hose contains
a dirt filter which protects the
solenoid valves.
This dirt filter must not be removed.
