Dipper (High/Low beam
change)
E00506201847
When the headlamps are on, the beam
changes from high to low (or low to high)
each time the lever is pulled fully (1). While
the high-beam is on, the high-beam indica-
tion lamp in the instrument cluster will also
illuminate.
Headlamp flasher
E00506301444
The high-beams flash when the lever is
pulled slightly (2), and will go off when it is
released.
When the high-beam is on, the high-beam in-
dication lamp in the instrument cluster will il-
luminate.
NOTE
l
If you turn the lamps off with the headlamps
set to high-beam, the headlamps are auto-
matically returned to their low beam setting.
Automatic High-Beam (AHB)
E00538200104
The Automatic High-Beam (AHB) switches
the headlamp beams (high/low) when the
sensor (A) senses a illuminant such as lights
of a vehicle in front or oncoming vehicle or a
street lamp.
WARNING
l
The headlamp beams (high/low) may not
be switched automatically under certain
circumstances. Do not overestimate the
system. It is the responsibility of the driv-
er to switch the headlamp beams (high/
low) manually to suit each driving condi-
tion.
