2.IMMEDIATE RECORDING
Load a cassette with the erasure prevention tab intact.
(Make sure that there is sufficient tape to be recorded.)
Select the channel you want to record.
Select the desired tape speed SP or LP.
E} Press the OTR REC TIME button. Recording will start and
continue for the length of time indicated by the OTR recording
time display (up to 4 hours or until tape end). The OTR
indicator is illuminated.
The elapsed time counter is replaced by the OTR recording
time display as shown below. During OTR recording the
display indicates the OTR recording time remaining.

To stop recording temporarily, press the PAUSE button.
To restart recording, press the PAUSE button again.
[i To stop recording, press the STOP button. (OTR recording
time display switches to the elapsed time counter.)
e@ OTR recording also stops when the OTR REC TIME button
is pressed repeatedly until the time display shows “OH00m”.
Recording will stop after 5 seconds and VCR is turned off.
e Attempting immediate OTR recording on a cassette that has
had its erasure prevention tab removed will result in the
cassette status indicator (OC) flashes for approximetely 4
seconds when the OTR REC TIME button is pressed (see
HINTS ON CASSETTE TAPES on page 15).
e if tape runs out during OTR recording, the unit automatically
switches to stop mode and power is turned off. Press the
POWER button to resume the power.
@ When OTR recording is completed (display indication 0400m),
power is switched off automatically. When another programme
has been set in programme timer, the programmed recording
indicator (@) is illuminated and programmed recording begins
at the start time.
e@ OTR recording will not function during playback, fast forward
and rewind.

CHANGING THE OTR RECORDING TIME OR
START TIME ;
If you want to change the OTR recording time during recording:
Press the OTR REC TIME button and select the desired
recording time.
EXAMPLE: Toextend recording time when there is 19 minutes
OTR recording time indicated on the display.
To shorten the OTR recording time; repeat pressing the OTR
REC TIME button until you reach the desired OTR recording time
indicated on the display.

EXAMPLE: If you have started OTR recording for 4 hours, but
want to shorten to 15 minutes.

If you want to change the OTR start time:
Press the OTR START TIME button repeatedly until the desired
Start time is indicated on the fluorescent display when the power
is ON. If the power is turned off, switching the power back on will
reset the OTR start and recording times, therefore the start and
recording time will have to be set again.
AUTO OFF TIMER
Using auto off-timer, playback time can be programmed in 15
minute timed intervals up to 4 hours or until tape end. The VCR
will automatically stop and turn off when the playback time is
elapsed.
@ Press the PLAY button to begin playback.
@ Press the OTR REC TIME button to set the playback time.
The elapsed time counter is replaced by the playback time
display.
During
