numeric mode
Press # in a text entry view until you see
à . Press the number keys to enter the
numbers you want.
Shortcut: You can press and hold a number
key to temporarily switch to numeric mode
from iTAP™ or Tap modes. Press the number
keys to enter the numbers you want. Enter a
space to change back to iTAP mode.

Press # in a text entry view until your
display shows a list of symbols. Scroll to the
symbol you want, then press the
center key

volume
Press the volume keys
to:
• turn off an
incoming call
alert
• change the earpiece volume during
calls
• change the ringer volume from the
home screen
Tip: Sometimes silence really is
golden. That’s why you can quickly set
your ringer to
Vibrate or Silent by holding
the down volume key while you are in
the home screen (ringer changes are
stored in your ring style as described
on page 46). You can also switch to
Silent or back by holding # in the home
screen.
