•
Useclean,qualityNo.1-DorNo.2-Dfuel(ASTMD975).
•
UseNo.1-Dfueliftheambienttemperatureisexpectedtobelowerthan4°C(39°F)orifthetractoristobeused
atanaltitudeexceeding1524m(5000ft).
•
UseNo.1-2dieselfuelwithapourpointofatleast-12°C(10°F)belowtheexpectedambienttemperatureto
preventfuelowproblemsincoldweather.
•
Keepdirtfromenteringthefueltank.
•
Sulfurcontentofthefuelshouldbenomorethan0.5%.
•
Sedimentandwatercontentshouldnotexceed0.5%.
•
Minimumcetanenumberis40.Lowtemperatureorhighaltitudeoperationmayrequireuseoffuelwithahigher
cetanenumber.
•
Useproperlymixedwinterfuelwhentemperaturesareextremelycold.Inmostareas,dieselfuelisproperlyblended
forsummerandwintergradesasambienttemperatureschange.Inwinter,usewintergradedieselfuelonly.Oth-
erwise,thefuelmaycloudandblockthefuelsystem.
FuelUsageSafety
•
UNDERNOCIRCUMSTANCESshouldgasoline,alcohol,orgasoholbeaddedtodieselfuel.Thesecombinations
cancreateanincreasedreorexplosivehazard.
•
Neverremovethefuelcaporrefuelthetractorwhiletheengineisrunningorhot.
•
Neversmokewhilerefuelingoranywherenearfuel.
•
Whenllingthetank,maintaincontrolofthenozzle.
•
Donotllthefueltanktocapacity.Allowroomforexpansion.
•
Wipeupspillsimmediately.
•
Alwaystightenthefuelcapsecurely.
•
Iftheoriginalfueltankcapislost,alwaysreplaceitwithaNewHollandapprovedcap.A"will-t"capmaynotbe
safe.
•
Keepequipmentproperlymaintained.
•
Donotdriveequipmentnearopenres.
•
Neverusegasolineforcleaningparts.
