Changingthefuellter,bleedingthefuelsystemandushingthecoolingsystemaretheonlynormalmaintenance
itemsrequiringtheremovaloftheenginesidepanels.
Remove
1.RemovethetwoM8boltswithhandknob(A).
NOTE:Left-handsideshown,right-handsidehard-
ware(B)locationissimilar

2.Removethefourbolts(A).

3.Disconnecttheheadlightwiringharnessconnectors
(A).
4.Removethefournuts(B).
NOTE:Thehoodwillbelooseatthispoint.Holdonthe
hoodorhaveahelperholdthehoodbeforeperforming
thenextstep.
5.Prythemetalclip(C)awayfromtheballstud(D).
6.Removethegasstrut(E).
7.Removethehoodbyliftingitoffthefourmounting
studs.
