Changingtheengineoilandlter
NOTE:Changetheengineoilandlteraftertherst50hoursofoperation,thenevery250hoursthereafter.Ifthe
tractorisoperatedforextendedperiodsoftimeatmaximumratedpowerandspeed,orunderothertypesofcontinu-
ous,severeoperatingconditions,theengineoilandltershouldbechangedat200hourintervalsfollowingtheinitial
oilchange.
Tochangetheengineoil:
1.Placeasuitablecontainerbeneaththedrainopening
tocatchtheusedoil.
2.Withthetractorengineoffbutatnormaloperatingtem-
perature,removethedrainplug(1).
3.Installthedrainplugafteralloftheoilhasbeendrained.

4.Placeacontainerbelowtheoillter,(2)tocatchtheoil
containedinthelter.
5.Removetheoillterfromtheengine.
6.Coatthegasketonthenewlterwithalmofcleanoil.
7.Installthelterontotheengineuntilthegasketcontacts
itsmatingsurface,thenturnthelterapproximately
three-quartersofaturnbyhand.Donotovertighten.
8.Addthepropertypeandlevelofnewoil,thenstartthe
engineandcheckthelterforleaks.
