Taking Pictures with Manual Focus
Use this function when you want to fix the
focus or when the distance between the
lens and the subject is determined and you
do not want to activate auto focus.

Slide the focus switch to [MF].
• AF: Auto focus
• AFw: AF Macro mode
• MF: Manual focus

Move the joystick e/r to focus.
e : Further
r : Closer
A : Focal distance
The manual focusing assistant

appears.
• The MF assistant disappears 2 seconds
after you stop operating the joystick.
• The moving focus indication

disappears 5 seconds after you stop
operating the joystick.

Take the picture.
n MF assistance
Move the joystick e/r while [MF ASSIST]
is set to [MF1] or [MF2] to enlarge the
picture to help focusing.
This allows you to focus on the subject
more easily.

Press [MENU/SET].

Press w.

Press r to select the [SETUP]
menu icon [ ] and then press q.
