n Using the Quick setting
You can change the following with the
joystick when recording.
• [AF MODE] (P88)
• [METERING MODE] (P88)
• [W.BALANCE] (right)
• [SENSITIVITY] (P84)
• [PICT.SIZE] (P86)
• [QUALITY] (P86)

Keep pressing the joystick when
recording.
• The Quick setting menu appears.

Move the joystick towards e/r/w/
q to select an item and then
press the center of the joystick to
finish.
• You can also use the cursor button and
[MENU/SET] to select menu items and
finish.
• The menu items depend on the selected
recording mode.
• [|] (white set) does not appear for
white balance when using the Quick
setting.
Press [ ] to display the [REC] mode
menu and select the item to set. (P81)
This function allows you to reproduce a
white color closer to the tone in real life on
the pictures recorded under sunlight,
halogen lighting, etc. in which the white
color may appear reddish or bluish. Select
a setting that matches the recording
conditions.
