Using the Playback Zoom

Rotate the zoom lever towards
[3] [T] to enlarge the picture.
• 3: 1×→2×→4×→8×→16×
• When you rotate the zoom lever towards
[ ] [W] after enlarging the picture, the
magnification becomes lower. When you
rotate the zoom lever towards [3] [T], the
magnification becomes higher.
• When you change the magnification, the
zoom position indication
A appears for
about 1 second to check the position of
the section enlarged.

Press e/r/w/q to move the
position.
• When you move the position to be
displayed, the zoom position indication is
displayed for about 1 second.
n To stop using the playback zoom
Rotate the zoom lever towards [ ] [W] or
press [MENU/SET] or joystick.
n To delete a picture during the
playback zoom
1 Press [A].
2 Press e to select [YES].
3 Press [MENU/SET] or joystick.
• Even if the indication on the LCD monitor
are turned off in normal playback mode
(P39), the magnification and enabled
operations appear on the LCD monitor
when the playback zoom is activated. You
can switch the display on or off by
pressing the [DISPLAY] button.
When you set the magnification to 1×, the
indication on the LCD monitor are
displayed as in normal playback mode.
• The more the picture is enlarged, the
more its quality deteriorates.
• If you want to save the enlarged picture,
use the trimming function. (P103)
• The playback zoom may not operate if
pictures have been recorded with other
equipment.
