Selecting the cutting depth
NOTE
We generally recommend setting the cutting
depth to approx. 2 mm more than the
thickness of the material. This ensures that you
achieve a clean cut.
Let go of the quick-release lever of the cutting
depth preselector
. Set the desired cutting
depth on the scale . Clamp the quick-release
lever tight again.
Fitting the rip fence
Loosen the screw for the rip fence on the
base plate . Insert the rip fence into the
rip fence slot . Retighten the screw for the
rip fence .
Handling the cordless plunge saw
1. Place the machine on the material. If necessary,
align the cordless plunge saw with the rip fence
or on a marked line.
2. Activate the safety lock-out
and hold it in
position. Press the ON/OFF switch .
3. Push the cordless plunge saw downwards so
that the cordless plunge saw lowers onto the
material.
4. Saw by applying moderate pressure.
Types of saw blades
The supplied saw blade types cover the most
common applications.
HSS circular saw blade
Z85/60
Description: ø 85 mm, 60 teeth
Suitable for: Soft wood and soft metals
HSS circular saw blade
Z85/80
Description: ø 85 mm, 80 teeth
Suitable for: Soft wood and soft metals
Diamond-coated cutting disc Z85
Description: ø 85 mm
Suitable for: Ceramics and stone
TCT saw blade Z85/30
Description: ø 85 mm, 30 teeth
Suitable for: Wood and plastic
Markings for cutting line
The viewing window for the cutting line helps you
accurately guide the machine along the cutting line
on the workpiece.
For a true-to-size cut, place the machine onto
the workpiece so that the cut marking appears
in the viewing window for the cutting line
.
Connecting a dust extraction unit
NOTE
When working on wood for long periods of
time and especially when working on
materials that generate dust that is hazardous
to health, connect the unit to an external dust
extraction device suitable for the material.
Check that the dust extraction appliance is
correctly attached.
Also refer to the operating instructions for
the dust extraction appliance.
Observe the applicable regulations in your
country regarding the materials you are
working on.
Push the suction hose
onto the dust extrac-
tion connection and lock it in place.
Attach an approved dust and sawdust extractor
to the suction hose
.
