Why does my Pentair IntelliComm circuit breaker trip repeatedly?

  If the circuit breaker trips repeatedly when using your Pentair Swimming Pool Pump, it could be due to excessive motor current or a GFCI fault. Ensure the breaker has adequate capacity. For a GFCI breaker, test it according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Make sure no other lights or appliances are on the same circuit. Also, check if the voltage is too high or too low.

Why is there an electrical problem with my Pentair IntelliComm Swimming Pool Pump?

  If you're experiencing an electrical problem with your Pentair Swimming Pool Pump, it might be running too slowly or too hot. Check the voltage at the motor terminals and at the meter while the pump is running. If the voltage is low, refer to the wiring instructions or consult your power company. Inspect for loose connections. Ensure the line voltage is within 90% to 110% of the rated voltage; if it's outside this range, consult a licensed electrician. Increase ventilation and reduce the ambient temperature around the pump. Tighten any loose wiring connections. If the motor's internal terminal overload protector is open and the motor runs too hot, turn off the power to the motor and check for proper voltage and impeller issues.
