Diesel Heat
Exhaust gas is HOT. Ensure that there is nothing that is
suscepble to heat damage (i.e. ropes, fenders, other
boats) within 200mm of the exhaust outlet.
19. Air Condioning (oponal)
Single Air Condioning Unit
The reverse cycle air condioner system consists of a 12,000 BTU self contained air condioning unit,
a seawater pickup, strainer, water pump, and control unit. The air condioning unit, located on the
port side of the salon, can be easily accessed by removing a panel located in the a salon bench seat.
Care should be taken to not stow items around the unit that may block the return air grill or damage
the refrigerant gas lines to the compressor.
Single Unit Operaon
Prior to starng the air condioner make sure that the water pickup seacock, located in the port side
of the bilge and accessed through the forward cockpit oor access hatch, is OPENED. The air
condioner is controlled by a keypad located on the port side of the salon. The panel allows for either
automac control of a preset temperature, or it allows you to vary the blower speed and temperature
manually. When the air condioner unit is turned on, seawater is pumped into the system through the
seacock and strainer. The water passes through the compressor cooling the condensing coils, then
ows overboard to a thru hull drain. Any condensaon on the air condioner unit will collect in the air
condioner pan and drain overboard.
There are three air ducts located throughout the boat. In the forward berth, there is an adjustable air
