Quicksilver 855WE — System & Component Overview and Operaon
25. A Cockpit Seat
Your boat comes equipped with a sliding seat to maximize the overall cockpit space. The seat consists
of a base, which includes an enclosed storage area, two waterght storage hatches, a backrest and
the transom door. To move the seat, simply li the barrel bolt latches from the striker plates located
in the deck. On a standard boat, there are two dierent seat locaons: Opmum seang and Engine
trailering.
Opmum Seang
When the seat is in the furthest a posion, the cockpit is at it’s maximum space possible. In this
conguraon, you are able to access the enre bilge through the cockpit oor hatches. Do not
aempt to put the engine into trailering posion with the seat in the furthest a posion.
Engine Trailering
At anyme you need to trim your engine up to trailer mode, you must move the cockpit seat forward.
This allows for clearance between the backrest and the engine cowl. Failure to do so could lead to
damage to the boat and or engine.
The a cockpit seat backrest can also recline to lock into three dierent posions. By liing the lever
on the starboard of the seat base, you can rotate the backrest a 30 degrees to a reclined posion.
The seat will lock into posion so you can safely sit with the backrest reclined.
