2.3 Moving and removing the packing

Wear suitable personal protection equipment when moving
the boiler and removing the packing. Only use lifting equip-
ment that is suitable for the weight involved.
The product can be moved in two ways:
− using a hoist of suitable lifting capacity;
− using a fork lift of suitable lifting capacity.
Two lifting points (A) are provided at the top of the boiler body for
use with a hoist.
Proceed as follows to move the boiler and remove the packing:
− Move the boiler to its place of installation, using equipment
of suitable lifting capacity;
− Remove the protective lm;
− RTC 3000 and RTC 4000 boiler bodies are secured to their
pallets by 6 screws while the RTC 5000-RTC 10000 models
are not placed on a pallet;
− Unscrew the screws securing the boiler to the pallet (mod-
els RTC 3000-RTC 4000) and position the boiler at its place
of installation

Do not dispose of packaging material into the environment, or
leave it within the reach of children, since it can become a po-
tential hazard. Dispose of packaging material in compliance
with applicable legislation.
− for lifting using a rigging crane, use only the lifting provi-
sions supplied
− when lifting the boiler using chains, make sure that at least
two chains are load-bearing. Lift up very carefully
− maintain less than a 45 degree angle with the vertical
when lifting the boiler with chains or cables.
− the rigging crane must be operated by trained personnel.

WARNING: Risk of injury from carrying heavy loads and inade-
quately securing loads for transport.
− Use suitable means of transportation, e.g. several pallet
trucks, a forklift truck, crane or heavy duty rollers
− secure the load against falling.
