5.8 Boiler inspection - water-side
Carrying out the inspection is important in order to check the con-
dition of thermal exchange surfaces and the presence of sludge
or lime scale.
The boiler's inner can be inspected through dedicated openings

The inspection must be carried out with the boiler in the off
position, in safe mode and cold (room temperature), with all
system shut-off valves closed except the discharge valve.
In order to inspect the upper part of the boiler, partially empty the
boiler before opening inspection openings.
Inspection openings are located in the following areas:
RTC 3000 - RTC 4000 - RTC 5000 - RTC 6000 models

The boiler must be fully emptied if it is necessary to access the in-
spection and discharge outlet (2) in models RTC 3000 ÷ RTC 6000 or
open the rear inspection door (4) in models RTC 8000 - RTC 10000.
Check the integrity of the seals and close inspection openings by
tightening the cross-head screws.
Fill the system and check the pressure as detailed in paragraph "
Checking and correcting the water pressure".
