Special Modes of CARE Dose 4D
For certain examination protocols CARE Dose 4D uses
modified tube current modulation, to meet specific
conditions, for example:
• for Adult Head protocols the tube current is adapted
to the variation along the patient’s long axis and not
to the angular attenuation profile.
• for Extremities, CARE Vision, syngo Neuro Perfusion
CT, syngo Body Perfusion CT and other special proto-
cols (indicated as CARE Dose), only angular tube cur-
rent modulation is supported.
• for Osteo and Cardio protocols the mAs setting is
adjusted to the patient size and not modulated dur-
ing the scan, except if ECG pulsing is switched on.
