Cleaning the particle sensor
RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
Before cleaning the particle sensor, always switch off the appliance and
remove the mains plug from the socket!
NOTE
Clean the particle sensor once a month when using the appliance in
continuous operation. If you only use the appliance occasionally, clean
the particle sensor after two months at the latest.
To clean the particle sensor, proceed as follows:
1. Switch off the appliance and pull out the mains plug.
2. Open the particle sensor compartment cover
q on the back of the appliance
by placing your finger in the cover q opening (see fig. 1). Then pull the
cover q towards you until it opens.

3. The lens of the particle sensor is located on the left (see fig. 2). Clean it with a
dry cotton swab or a soft, dry cloth.
4. Replace the cover
q into the corresponding openings in the housing 6.
Press the cover q into the openings until the cover q audibly clicks into
the housing 6.
