English 11 Assembling the Trimmer
To determine the trimmer's state of charge:
► Press the push button(1) on the trimmer.
The LEDs on the trimmer will glow or flash green for about
5seconds and indicate the state of charge (see
illustration).
For example:
If four green LEDs glow continuously: full charge.
If one green LED is flashing: less than 20% charge.
11.1 Mounting the Deflector
WARNING
To reduce the risk of injury from thrown objects or contact
with the cutting attachment, never operate the trimmer
without a properly mounted deflector. Keep bystanders at
least 50ft. (15m) away.
To mount the deflector:
► Switch off the trimmer, @ 14.2.
► Remove the activation key, @ 13.2.
► Push the deflector(2) into the guides on the housing until
it stops.
The deflector must be tight against the housing.
► Insert and tighten the screws(3).
The line limiting blade(1) comes mounted in the deflector
and may not be removed.
11.2 PolyCut 2-2 Mowing Head
11.2.1 Mounting the Trimmer Line
WARNING
Use of metal cutting attachments, wire or metal-reinforced
line is not authorized and could be extremely dangerous.
Use only the cutting attachments recommended in this
manual, in combination with the recommended deflector,
@ 5.7.4.
WARNING
A damaged or loose cutting attachment or mowing head may
vibrate, crack, break or come off the trimmer, which may
result in serious or fatal injury or property damage. Make
sure the mowing head and cutting attachment are properly
tightened and in good condition before starting work,
@ 5.7.4.
To mount trimmer line on the PolyCut2-2:
► Switch off the trimmer, @ 14.2.
► Remove the activation key, @ 13.2.
