Re-tensioning during cutting work:
N Shut off the engine
N Loosen nuts
N Raise the guide bar at the nose
N Use the screwdriver to turn the
screw (1) to the right until the saw
chain rests against the underside of
the guide bar
N Raise the guide bar further and
tighten the nuts securely

A new saw chain has to be re-tensioned
more often than one that has been in
use for some time.
N Check chain tension frequently –

hands
N The saw chain must fit snugly
against the underside of the bar and
it must still be possible to pull the
chain along the guide bar by hand
N If necessary, re-tension the saw
chain

It may be necessary to correct the
adjustment of the throttle cable after
assembling the machine or after a
prolonged period of operation.
Adjust the throttle cable only when the
unit is completely and properly
assembled.
N Set the throttle trigger to the full
throttle position.
N Carefully rotate the screw in the
throttle trigger in the direction of the
arrow until you feel initial resistance.
Then rotate it another half turn in the
same direction.
