12 Assembling the Sprayer
11.1.2 Power Tool Status
The same LEDs on the battery will indicate the status of the
power tool.
If three LEDs glow red continuously: the power tool motor is
too hot. Allow the motor to cool down.
If three LEDs flash red when you activate the trigger switch:
the power tool has an electrical malfunction. Do not operate
the power tool. Have it checked by an authorized STIHL
servicing dealer before use or storage.

11.1.3 Charge Status
The LEDs on the battery also show the battery's state of
charge.
To determine the battery's state of charge:
► Press the button (1) on the battery.
The LEDs on the battery will glow or flash green for about
5 seconds and indicate the state of charge (see
illustration).
For example:
If four green LEDs glow continuously: full charge.
If one green LED is flashing: less than 20 % charge.
11.2 Beeps
An audible beep confirms contact between the sprayer and
battery.
A beep also sounds when the sprayer is switched on.
A short beep will sound when the sprayer switches off
automatically after a work break of about 15 minutes.
► If beeps sound in quick succession for 15 seconds:
@ 22.1.
There is a malfunction in the battery.
► If 4 long beeps sound one after another: @ 22.1.
Battery has low charge.
12.1 Spray Gun and Lance
12.1.1 Connecting the Spray Gun and Lance
WARNING
Make sure the battery is removed before starting assembly.
Never operate your sprayer without a properly mounted
spray gun, lance and nozzle, @ 5.7.5. Use only
attachments supplied or expressly approved by STIHL,
@ 5.6
To connect the spray gun and lance:
► Switch off the sprayer, @ 14.2.
► Remove the battery, @ 13.2.
If all 4 LEDs flash red: the battery has a
malfunction and must be replaced. Do not
attempt to charge, use or store the battery.
