11. Start the engine (while the motor-
cycle is outside on level ground)
and allow it to idle for three min-
utes.
12. Turn the engine off and wait
approximately three minutes.
Recheck the oil level on the
engine oil inspection window while
holding the motorcycle vertically. If
it is lower than the “L” mark, add
oil until the oil level is between “L
mark and “F” mark. Inspect the
area around the drain plug and oil
filter for leaks.
NOTE: If you do not have a proper oil
filter wrench, have your Suzuki dealer
perform this service.
ENGINE IDLE SPEED INSPECTION
Inspect the engine idle speed. The
engine idle speed should be 1050 –
1250 r/min when the engine is warm.
NOTE: If the engine idle speed is not
within the specified range, ask your
Suzuki dealer or a qualified mechanic
to inspect and repair the motorcycle.
