Installation
Tighten the spark plug with speci-
fied tightening torque after tight-
ening the spark plug temporarily
with fingers.

Spark plug socket set
Spark plug:
11 N·m (1.1 kgf-m, 8.5 lbf-ft)
Connect the spark plug cap
securely as shown.
ENGINE OIL
ENGINE OIL LEVEL CHECK
Check the engine oil level accord-
ing to the following procedure,
after the “INSPECTION BEFORE
ENGINE OIL LEVER CHECK” is
performed.
1. Place the motorcycle on level
ground on the side stand.
Remove the bolts. Remove the
under guard.
2. Start the engine and run it for
a few minutes.
3. Stop the engine and wait three
minutes.
4. Hold the motorcycle vertically.
NOTE: The oil level measurement
may become inaccurate unless
the motorcycle is held upright as
the motorcycle inclination affects
the oil level.
NOTE: Do not run the engine at a
speed higher than idling, other-
wise the oil level to be inspected
may be affected.
NOTICE
Dirt can damage the moving
engine parts of your motorcy-
cle if it enters an open spark
plug hole.
Cover the spark plug hole
while the spark plug is out of
the hole.
