Time Duration and Frequency Measurement

Set the SEC/DIV control to display one complete wave
form. Check that the CAL (Variable) control is in the detent
position. Measure the horizontal distance between the two
time measurement points (in divisions) and multiply this
distance by the setting of the SEC/DIV control.
The frequency o f this signal can be calculated by taking
the reciprocal of the measured time duration of one event.
For example, the time duration o f the waveform is
16.6 milliseconds. Using the formula:
