Checking the Coolant Level
CAUTION
If the engine has been running, the pressurized, hot coolant can escape, which could
result in minor or moderate injury.
• Do not open the radiator cap when the engine is running.
• Use a rag when opening the radiator cap, and open the cap slowly to allow steam
to escape.
1. Prepare the machine for maintenance.
2. Open the hood.
3. Check the level of coolant in the reservoir.
Note: The coolant level is correct if it is cold mark on the side of the tank when the
engine is cold, and the hot mark when the engine is hot.
