•Theowner/operatorcanpreventandisresponsible

•Wearappropriateclothing,includingeye
protection;longpants;substantial,slip-resistant
footwear;andhearingprotection.Tiebacklong
hairanddonotwearlooseclothingorloose
jewelry.
•Donotoperatethemachinewhileill,tired,or
undertheinuenceofalcoholordrugs.
•Useyourfullattentionwhileoperatingthe
machine.Donotengageinanyactivitythat
causesdistractions;otherwise,injuryorproperty
damagemayoccur.
•Beforeyoustarttheengine,ensurethatalldrives
areinneutral,theparkingbrakeisengaged,and
youareintheoperatingposition.
•Donotcarrypassengersonthemachineandkeep
bystandersandchildrenoutoftheoperatingarea.
•Operatethemachineonlyingoodvisibilitytoavoid
holesorhiddenhazards.
•Avoidmowingonwetgrass.Reducedtraction
couldcausethemachinetoslide.
•Keepyourhandsandfeetawayfromrotating
parts.Keepclearofthedischargeopening.
•Lookbehindanddownbeforebackinguptobe
sureofaclearpath.
•Usecarewhenapproachingblindcorners,shrubs,
trees,orotherobjectsthatmayobscureyour
vision.
•Stopthebladeswheneveryouarenotmowing.
•Stopthemachine,removethekey,andwaitfor
allmovingpartstostopbeforeinspectingthe
attachmentafterstrikinganobjectorifthereis
anabnormalvibrationinthemachine.Makeall
necessaryrepairsbeforeresumingoperation.
•Slowdownandusecautionwhenmakingturns
andcrossingroadsandsidewalkswiththe
machine.Alwaysyieldtheright-of-way.
•Disengagethedrivetothecuttingunit,shutoffthe
engine,removethekey,andwaitforallmovement
tostopbeforeadjustingtheheightofcut(unless
youcanadjustitfromtheoperatingposition).
•Operatetheengineonlyinwell-ventilatedareas.

•TheROPSisanintegralandeffectivesafety
device.
•DonotremoveanyoftheROPScomponentsfrom
themachine.
•Ensurethattheseatbeltisattachedtothe
machine.
•Pullthebeltstrapoveryourlapandconnectthe
belttothebuckleontheothersideoftheseat.
•Todisconnecttheseatbelt,holdthebelt,press
thebucklebuttontoreleasethebelt,andguidethe
beltintotheauto-retractopening.Ensurethatyou
canreleasethebeltquicklyinanemergency.
•Checkcarefullyforoverheadobstructionsanddo
notcontactthem.
•KeeptheROPSinsafeoperatingconditionby
thoroughlyinspectingitperiodicallyfordamage
andkeepingallthemountingfastenerstight.
•ReplacedamagedROPScomponents.Donot
repairoralterthem.
