TurfCarePrecautionswhile
OperatinginStationaryModes
Important:Undersomeconditions,heatfromthe
engine,radiator,andmufercanpotentiallydamage
grasswhenoperatingthesprayerinastationarymode.
Stationarymodesincludetankagitation,handspraying
withaspraygun,orusingawalkingboom.
Usethefollowingprecautions:
Avoidstationarysprayingwhenconditionsareveryhot
and/ordry,asturfcanbemorestressedduringthese
periods.
Avoidparkingontheturfwhilestationaryspraying.Park
onacartpathwheneverpossible.
Minimizetheamountoftimethemachineisleft
runningoveranyparticularareaofturf.Bothtimeand
temperatureaffecthowmuchthegrassmaybedamaged.
Settheenginespeedaslowaspossibletoachievethe
desiredpressureandow .Thiswillminimizetheheat
generatedandtheairvelocityfromthecoolingfan.
Allowheattoescapeupwardfromtheengine
compartmentbyraisingtheseatassembliesduring
stationaryoperationratherthanbeingforcedoutunder
thevehicle.
SprayingTips
Donotoverlapareasthatyouhavepreviouslysprayed.
Watchforpluggednozzles.Replaceallwornordamaged
nozzles.
Usethemasterboomswitchtostopthesprayowbefore
stoppingthesprayer.Oncestopped,usetheneutral
enginespeedcontroltoholdtheenginespeeduptokeep
theagitationrunning.
Youwillobtainbetterresultsifthesprayerismoving
whenyouturntheboomson.
UncloggingaNozzle
Ifanozzlebecomescloggedwhileyouarespraying,youcan
cleanitusingahandspraybottleofwateroratoothbrush.
1.Stopthesprayeronalevelsurface,stoptheengine,
andsettheparkingbrake.
2.SetthemasterboomswitchtotheOffpositionand
thensetthepumpswitchtotheOffposition.
3.Removethecloggednozzleandcleanitusingaspray
bottleofwateroratoothbrush.

Note:Refertothenozzleselectionguidethatisavailable
throughyourAuthorizedToroDealer.
Theturretbodiescanacceptupto3differentnozzles.To
selectthedesirednozzle:
1.Stopthesprayeronalevelsurface,stoptheengine,
andsettheparkingbrake.
2.SetthemasterboomswitchtotheOffpositionandset
thepumpswitchtotheOffposition.
3.Rotatetheturretofthenozzlesineitherdirectionto
thecorrectnozzle.
CleaningtheSprayer
Important:Youmustalwaysemptyandcleanthe
sprayerimmediatelyaftereachuse.Failuretodoso
maycausethechemicalstodryorthickeninthelines,
cloggingthepumpandothercomponents.
Tororecommendsusingtheapprovedrinsekitforthis
machine.ContactyourAuthorizedToroDealerformore
information.
Cleanthespraysystemaftereachsprayingsession.To
properlycleanthespraysystem:
Usethreeseparaterinses.
Usethecleanersandneutralizersasrecommendedbythe
chemicalmanufacturers.
Usepurecleanwater(nocleanersorneutralizers)forthe
lastrinse.
1.Stopthesprayer,settheparkingbrake,andturnoff
theengine.
2.Locatethetankdrainvalveontherearofthemachine
(Figure35).
Note:Thevalveistotherearofpump,attachedto
thesupportbracket.

tankanddisposeofitaccordingtolocalcodesandthe
materialmanufacturer'sinstructions(Figure36).After
