TurfCarePrecautionswhile
OperatinginStationaryModes
Important:Undersomeconditions,heatfromthe
engine,radiator,andmufercanpotentiallydamage
grasswhenoperatingthesprayerinastationarymode.
Stationarymodesincludetankagitation,handspraying
withaspraygun,orusingawalkingboom.
Usethefollowingprecautions:
•Avoidstationarysprayingwhenconditionsareveryhot
and/ordry,asturfcanbemorestressedduringthese
periods.
•Avoidparkingontheturfwhilestationaryspraying.Park
onacartpathwheneverpossible.
•Minimizetheamountoftimethemachineisleft
runningoveranyparticularareaofturf.Bothtimeand
temperatureaffecthowmuchthegrassmaybedamaged.
•Settheenginespeedaslowaspossibletoachievethe
desiredpressureandow .Thiswillminimizetheheat
generatedandtheairvelocityfromthecoolingfan.
•Allowheattoescapeupwardfromtheengine
compartmentbyraisingtheseatassembliesduring
stationaryoperationratherthanbeingforcedoutunder
thevehicle.
SprayingTips
•Donotoverlapareasthatyouhavepreviouslysprayed.
•Watchforpluggednozzles.Replaceallwornordamaged
nozzles.
•Usethemasterboomswitchtostopthesprayowbefore
stoppingthesprayer.Oncestopped,usetheneutral
enginespeedcontroltoholdtheenginespeeduptokeep
theagitationrunning.
•Youwillobtainbetterresultsifthesprayerismoving
whenyouturntheboomson.
UncloggingaNozzle
Ifanozzlebecomescloggedwhileyouarespraying,youcan
cleanitusingahandspraybottleofwateroratoothbrush.
1.Stopthesprayeronalevelsurface,stoptheengine,
andsettheparkingbrake.
2.SetthemasterboomswitchtotheOffpositionand
thensetthepumpswitchtotheOffposition.
3.Removethecloggednozzleandcleanitusingaspray
bottleofwateroratoothbrush.

Theturretbodiescanacceptupto3differentnozzles.To
selectthedesirednozzle:
1.Stopthesprayeronalevelsurface,stoptheengine,
andsettheparkingbrake.
2.SetthemasterboomswitchtotheOffpositionandset
thepumpswitchtotheOffposition.
3.Rotatetheturretofthenozzlesineitherdirectionto
thecorrectnozzle.
CleaningtheSprayer
Important:Youmustalwaysemptyandcleanthe
sprayerimmediatelyaftereachuse.Failuretodoso
maycausethechemicalstodryorthickeninthelines,
cloggingthepumpandothercomponents.

Cleanthespraysystemaftereachsprayingsession.To
properlycleanthespraysystem:
•Usethreeseparaterinses.
•Usethecleanersandneutralizersasrecommendedbythe
chemicalmanufacturers.
•Usepurecleanwater(nocleanersorneutralizers)forthe
lastrinse.

theengine.
2.Locatethetankdrainvalveontherearofthemachine
(Figure35).

Openthevalvetodrainanyunusedmaterialfromthe
tankanddisposeofitaccordingtolocalcodesandthe
materialmanufacturer'sinstructions(Figure36).After
draining,removethelynchpinonthebracketsecuring
